++++ I made contact with the Consul of The Children of Raxxla. I can't say much, due to the secrecy of the organization. But I can say that I have been accepted into their ranks as a Cadet. They've sent words of encouragement on my trip across the rift. Many of them have made this journey in the past. Their ties and support for Salome run deep. I hope to find something to do her justice.

++++ Its been a month today that I've been traveling, and  I'm pleased to announce that the journey is still successfully moving forward. I'm roughly 1,500 light years from then other side of the rift. The ISS Blazing Voyager is holding together well with all modules at above 90%. It was a slow night for the broadcast. Not sure if the signal from my ship is having interference or not. I'll have to check that out before I start again.

++++ The ISS Blazing Voyager is sitting approximately 15,000 ly from Kemadhenu. This is the farthest I've been from home.  Its both awe inspiring and dreadful at the same time. One slip up and this is a 1 way trip. I think on my way back I'm going to try and visit non-sequence stars. Maybe I'll find some pulsars and make the trip back a little quicker. I found it odd that there are absolutely none out here. That would be a sight to behold. I did find a couple of my favorite planets. Dark like obsidian, with lakes and rivers of lava. Fascinating.

++++ While listening to Radio Sidewinder last night I heard an interview with The Children of Raxxla. They're a group currently trying to solve the mysteries of the universe. They're followers of Salome, much as I am. I also learned that Salome was captured and reportedly killed in a convoy ambush! I resign from believing it. This isn't the first time that the powers have claimed Salome was killed. Did she find what the old woman found, and they're trying to keep her quiet? I've reached out through secret networks to Children of Raxxla, and expressed an interest in joining their cause.

++++ We're doing it. Well I'm doing it, but I feel like I'm in a larger group thanks to the viewers of my broadcast. I don't think I'd be making it if it weren't for them. It's really encouraging having people to talk to on this space trip. Their stories from the bubble make me miss home but Its great to hear of their own adventures!

++++ Tonight I got to swap conspiracy theories about Thargoids, and the Alliance's involvement with them. We also discussed what I might find on my journey. Maybe I'll find a new race. Will they be friendly? The galaxy certainly has more questions than answers. Another commander was taking his first flight in a sidewinder. It made me reflect on how big of a step that is. It was daunting the first time I flew. First the sheer magnitude of being sent out on your own. The simulations are one thing, but actually being set free with your first ship in the galaxy is breath taking. I suggested he start by doing some small trade missions, including data delivery. Being a courier can be a great way to make some connections. Then if you have the stomach for it, bounty hunting is where you'll get your rep.

++++ Right now I'm sitting half way across the rift. Another couple days and I should be onto the other side. I've been trying to jump from patch of stars to patch of stars. There are some dead spots out here so I need to be careful. Right now I'm feeling optimistic that this crossing is going to work. I'll be heartbroken if it doesn't. Its been a long 2 months. The final leg is approaching. Catch you on the frontier commanders.

++++ In my time off from my last broadcast I started work on a new AI for my ship. I've named her Savannah. Tonight I brought her online for the first time. She is, well.... sassy would be the nice way of putting it. I loaded her with memories from my past adventures, in hopes it would bring her up to speed faster. Now all she does is use these to nag and poke at me. What did I create? Also she isn't getting along with the other computers very well. She destroyed the PC in my personal quarters. Fried it, because she said it was being rude. My guess is she was trying to get into it, and it locked her out. And finally, she isn't a fan of ASTRA. Her ship function focus makes her hard to talk to, and as Savannah is a conversation bot, they just don't connect very well.

++++ I got through another couple thousand light years today. I've started my second crossing, and I'm already further into the rift than I was on my previous attempt. The stars are far more clustered her so I'm very optimistic that I'll be able to cross. My fellow commander, CMDR Dakkorie, has tried crossing where i crossed previous, believing his 30ly jump range would help him, but right now he is stuck. I hope he can find a way out of his predicament.

++++ I've settled my ship down on a planet in my current system. The sunset here is beautiful. I've set this bird down on the shores of a frozen lake. The horizon looks magnificent, with the stars  of the system all aglow. I'm going to east some dinner and stretch my legs, then get to work on upgrading Savannah's systems.

++++ The void of spaces only gives two things, loneliness and time. I've decided to kill both while I take a break from traveling.

++++ I've begun work on a second AI for my ship. This ones job is to keep me sane on my journey. ASTRA is fine with controlling my ship and has said she'd welcome another AI. I feel this is more likely a way of her to get me to buy another AI from her creators, but I'll take it as a go ahead for my own creation regardless.

++++ So far the programming has gone well. She is very responsive yet, has some quirks in the personality department. Overall she's pleasant, but sometimes I think I get on her nerves. Is that even possible. I don't say that because I think I'm infailable, but computers shouldnt have nerves.

++++ Another fantastic night of flying. As I right this, I'm currently 11,300 ly from my home in Kemadhenu. I'm also 5,000 ly from where I parted ways with CMDR Dakkorie. Speaking of commander Dakkorie, he picked up my video comms tonight and sent me messages of encouragement. He was still investigating the planet I left him at but was in need for something new to explore. I told him of my current plans and of a system I wanted to visit because of my inadequate FSD. He had an engineer modify his and decided he would investigate it for me.

++++ I continued about 1,500 ly tonight. Well short of my usual journeys. The sickness I picked up before departing Kemadhenu was back. I had A.S.T.R.A. check my systems vitals. She diagnosed it as a simple sinus abnormality and recommended I rest. I turned off all non essential systems, took a shot of whiskey, and retired to my quarters.

++++ Stars are faint out here but no less magical to behold. I continue my race across the galaxy. Another 2,000 light years behind me, many more still to go. My transmissions have been well received. I enjoy the communications of encouragement I receive. Its a welcomed change from the cold and lonely confines of the frontier.

++++ I took a moment to reflect upon the journey tonight. So long have I been just jumping, traveling, running. I forgot what it really meant to explore. I found a planet and moon tonight that were so close it seemed like you could touch the other whist on its surface. The moon was a cream color with turquoise canyons, wide and deep. Some would have rivaled oceans if the planet was warmer. I took a picture of the moon to the planet and then continued on.

++++ The last 1,000 light years I pushed my ship hard, faster and faster. I set a game. Travel 60 jumps in under an hour. I had a minute between skimming fuel off the sun, spooling up the FSD, and making it through Witchspace. I found it was an exciting challenge. Skimming the star close and fast got me the fuel I needed in only a mere second or two keeping me topped off and full. 500 t/s with this Class 5 fuel scoop.

++++ As of now, my ship estimates that I have discovered 600 new systems. Its easy to see them all as just another system, another star, another clustering of rock and debris. But each is quite unique. Some are expertly packed, dozens and dozens of planetary objects circling each other. Others like one I found last night are hundreds of thousands of light second apart. All being seen by human eyes for the time.

++++ I will continue my journey. Traveling, searching, exploring. I should be ready to cross the rift in a few days. Lets hope my ship stays in one piece until then. And may Lady Luck favor me on my journey across.

++++ I have found my way into the Rift, but the stars here are so sparse! I found a vintage log of a woman who says she found something beyond The Formadine Rift. Something worse than Thargoids. Do I dare discover what vile secrets extend on the edge of space... I dare. I must. For her.

++++ I left Eafots LZ-H B 10. My fellow companion on this journey CMDR Dakkorie, wished to study the first planet of the fourth moon further. I wished him well, and set off. 8,000 light years away from home.

++++ While traveling I hacked into a secure network. On the server was a recording. A woman of about 50 told a tale of a journey beyond the rift. Though she had her mind wiped, she remembers things, things that make the Thargoids look tame. The thought made my skin crawl. She gave a hint at the line she traveled out of the bubble of inhabited space. She ended the message with a warning.

++++ I dialed up my galaxy map and plotted her beginning. Following a line on the map outward to the rift. There it was. Through and beyond to the end of the arm she said. There were 3 systems 2 of which layed on the arm beyond the rift. I marked them and set off for the closest bookmark.

++++ As I neared closer, after 90 jumps of travel, I hit a wall. Figuratively of course. A wall of no stars... nothing within range. My destination just a mere 1000 ly in front of me but alas I could not continue. My FSD did not have the range. I had an injection to get to maybe 1 star but what then? Be stuck in the void of space? No... I had to be safe. She warned of it.

++++ I've begun to back track. making my way back to the more formed cluster of stars. I'll eek a path around the edge. It will take thousands of light years but there is a cloud of stars there that i may be able to use to pass through the rift. Wish me luck... The closer I venture the more the dread in the back of my mind stakes its claim. Will I become stranded in the void or will I suffer a worse fate on the other side? "Watch your six." Her last words ring in my mind.

++++ I've started to broadcast my expedition. If the feds or imperials dared to wipe her mind for telling this tale. I need proof that cannot be discredited. I pray someone sees it if something does... happen. It may be the only evidence the galaxy sees. It may be my only chance of remembering...

++++ Upon returning to the bubble and taking on passenger transport jobs in my Type-7 my heart yearned to explore. I came across an old Galnet article from August. It called out the Heart and Soul nebulae. I was parked in Kemadhenu at the time. This was going to be the farthest I've traveled yet.

++++ Before starting my journey I slimmed down my ship with Class D components except for my jump drive which I kept as an A Class. I also switched my Shields and Fuel scoop. Betting I'd need the 5D fuel scoop to make my stop shorter. There shouldn't be other pilots where I'm going so shields aren't as important but they may be needed for my return flight.

++++ I've been traveling for 3 days now. The time I've spent exploring has been a rewarding experience. I've seen some incredible planets, and found the graves of some ships who didn't fare as well. One in particular was an Imperial captial ship. There were several rescue ships around it but there was no surviving this.

++++ Today I set half way between home and my destination. 4,025 light years from where I started. My latest discovery was a small black planet. I first thought it might be a black hole when I looked at my scanners as I got closer its dark beauty revealed itself. Its crust was black obsidian, and magma pooled into red oceans on its surface. It was ominous, like a gothic painting. But its individuality made me smile.

++++ I have a long way to go still, but my journey has been far more rewarding than any contract I've gotten in the bubble.

++++ My research into the unknown has drove me to use far more Tranquil Tea than I care to admit. There are so many discoveries and the scientific community has come up cold on many occasions. The leading theory is that The Ruins are a stellar map. I also share this theory but from a different perspective than the rest of the community. My observations have shown that Barnard's loop and some unknown galaxy outside our own line up with the circles of the ruin.

++++ It was under this assumption that I have traveled to Barnard's loop. So far I have not managed to gleam anything except beautiful vistas of red. The journey has been long and I am directly in the center of the loop as I record this log. I've seen all of it surrounding nebulae as well. Easily some of the most breathtaking views I've ever experienced.

++++ I have a heartfelt longing to return to the bubble and see friends again. Yet part of me wonders if my theory is correct.  If in one of these systems there is an answer....

++++ Space is a cold an quiet place. Especially out here. I'm not quite sure where I'm going anymore but out on my own seems like a good place to be.

++++ For the last week I've been working with scientists of the Cannon Institute trying to solve a number of mysteries that have popped up. I wrote about those in my last log entry. I've spent every day for the last week trying to decipher these beacon messages. On friday they were deciphered by a scientists of the Cannon Institute. It was such a relief. I was starting to go a little mad. The result was more mind bending.

++++ I traveled to the system he found and uncovered along with fellow scientists and explorers a massive space graveyard. At the center of a mass grave of ships was an alien ship. Around it stood wreckage of dead asps, and corvettes. Near the alien wreckage was a desroyed SRV. I would have hated to be that sorry sap. I hope the death was quick for him.

++++ I slipped into Obsidian Orbital to refit my ship and rest for a bit. While i was there I decided that I wanted to go deep into space. There is so much out there that we don't even know. If I can collect data and bring it back it could be beneficial. Especially if these Aliens are heading toward the bubble. The antient ghost stories of Thargoids are starting to become more than just a childhood nightmare. Maybe some information can help us.

++++ Well this has been an incredible week. So much going on I haven't had time to keep my logs up to date.  Where to start... well I guess the beginning is as good as any a point.

++++ I got word that a good friend of mine Walter died. I met him on a fishing trip years back. Great guy. Always loved sitting on the shore, with a cup of coffee. It turns out this old man with a pension for coffee and fishing had turned it into a galactic franchise. I came out to pay my respects with a Type-6 full of fish. Turns out his company was honoring his memory, by paying traders a little extra for fish and coffee. I used my funds I got from the Nobles to buy me a Type-7. A lot slower but it could haul a lot more. I got them about 4,000 tons of coffee and they slipped me 20 million credits. I couldn't believe my eyes. What a great man and an even greater family.

++++ After the mourning and trading, i returned home to Kemadhenu. I was somewhat lost, missions weren't paying to much, the system itself was in a state of peace for the first time in months. I decided to have my old ASP transported back now that the Imperium's transport service was in effect. It was time to adventure.

++++ There was news all over the galnet about this rumor of an antient alient site. A commander said he knew the system but hadn't pin pointed the exact location, I wasn't too far away from there and immediately flew out. There was a ton of commanders out there flying all over. One commander wanted to find it but didn't have a scanner, so i let him follow me in. I scanned and did low surface sweeps. Eventually we found it! Synuefe xr-h D11-102 1 B @ -128.9, -31.8. What we found was greater than we could have imagined!

++++ My good friend CMDR Dakkorie and I took our SRVs into the site. It reminded us of the really antient Mayan ruins of Earth. As we entered the ruin's walls we found all kinds of strange artifacts. Then as I'm cruising across a tower of metal comes shooting out of the ground. I nearly flip my SRV. We stared in wonder at this metallic obelisk that stood before us. a Glowing blue gem at the top. Of course CMDR Dakkorie decided to shoot it and collect the crystal like relic. We would search the site for close to 3 hours and uncover 6 artifacts in total. One was a casket. I made sure the lid was on tight before loading it into my ship. Don't need no creepy alien popping out while I'm mid supercruise.

++++ After concluding our research, CMDR Dakkorie decided to return to the bubble, Sol specifically to continue his research there.  I on the other hand went to the center of the site, titled my ship 90 degrees and flew in straight line. Didn't care where i was going. I knew the Mayans liked to align their sites with the stars so i figured the bright one above me might be as good as any.

++++ I scanned systems on my journey and found that I was the first to ever visit SYNUEFE EC-Y B48-1 3. It was an interesting system. The planet i visited was grey but it had this green mountains. As i got closer the green was actually thick mist.

++++ Today, I got an urgent comm from CMDR Dakkorie again. He found a strange beacon off of Jupiter with an encrypted message. He sent the data over and I decoded it to read the following:

L I S T E N

L O C A T I O N

E R A V A T E

T I M E

J(10)

L I S T E N

L O C A T I O N

L A V E

T I M E

30

CLUE 4

Charlie

++++ CMDR Dakkorie made a bee line for Lave and I set my destination for Eravate. To my surprise it was about 300 ly straight in front of me... could i be connected to the alien ruins? I was excited. I got to lave and waited. CMDR Dakkorie found another beacon in lave this time with a message that was a series of numbers. I found one too in Eravate. I dropped out of super cruise and all was silent. I sat and waited. Eventually after half an hour, it seemed to turn on and start spewing numbers. I hastily turned on my recording device and wrote at the same time.

++++ CMDR Dakkorie joined me me in Eravate and we looked at the data over a beer. This wasn't an encryption we had seen before or were used to. The one thing that stood out was each message started with a letter (X/Y). These must be coordinates, but they didn't look like any coordinates we had ever seen before. Also, there was an X & Y but no Z. It had to be planet coordinates not a star system but which one? After CMDR Dakkorie went to bed, I couldn't sleep and kept churning over it over and over. I went back to the original clues. CLUE 4 CHARLIE. 4c. A planet with 4c. Merope has had a lot of alient activity lately... I'm heading there. Wish me luck.

++++ I didn't sleep well last night. Not sure why. Just didn't... Maybe that's why I was so excited to see an assassination mission on the board this morning. Maybe I'm just starting to lose it a little. Nah, can't be that... can it?

++++ The contract was to kill a pirate warlord in LTT 1739. He's the leader of scum why not. I high tailed it to Kemadhenu to get my Viper then headed off to hunt him down. He was pretty easy to find and even easier to kill. An antient leader on earth once said "Talk softly and carry a big stick." Well I don't talk, and carry the biggest fucking stick. He lasted all of 10 seconds once I dropped from super cruise. His Lacky that tried saving his boss... He lasted 3.

++++ I tried transporting data to wash the blood from my hand but once the adrenaline is in you its hard to think of anything but it.  I got another contract in Bunuson to kill 4 more pirates in Xuanebuth. These guys must have heard on the net I was coming cuz they came after me, one after another. If they were smart they would have swarmed. Some didn't even deploy hardpoints before they were searing in space.

++++ I arrived back in Bunuson and landed to collect my reward at one of their planet ports. Man... its been a long time since I've felt natural gravity. I browsed the mission board before going to bed. Tomorrow, I've got 12 more pirates to kill in Xuanebuth. Should net me close to half a mil.

++++ Phew... what  a night. I woke up in a little bit of a daze from all that tranquil tea i had. Really need to lay off that stuff. Anyway, I woke up, checked the mission board, and the Kemadhenu Partners were looking for fighters in a warzone. 4 ships, 124k. Not a bad business.

++++ I went into the fight and found myself behind an Imperial Clipper. Everything was going fine until He blew a whole in my canopy. Luckily life support kicked on. Nothing like flying with a computer telling you how long your life is going to be... I should really have that changed to a cooking timer. Maybe cookies? Ah well. Anyway, I landed at the station with 45 seconds left to live. Talk about your close calls. I repaired, and then went back out to fight. Call me crazy, but.... well yeah I think I am.

++++ I dove back into the conflict zone and picked some smaller ships. These people didn't care who died just as long as I did my part. I quickly took to ripping up some cobras. My piloting skills are really tightening up. fFlight assist? What flight assist? Haha.

++++ Collected about 200k in total after the mission pay and combat bounties. Then I got a formal request to work for the Imperial Navy. They needed 54 tons of cargo transported to Lengthan. Not bad only 3 jumps, and there were other missions to deliver data there anyway. I bought a Type-6 and gave it the bare upgrades to get the job done. Then I was off.

++++ As I arrived in Lengthan one of the client's pinged me. A really needy bastard, but pays well. I told him I just arrived in the system, but he said he'd pay an extra 60k if I could deliver it in 5 minutes. Hell for an extra 60k I'll gift wrap it for ya...

++++ Made it on time and collected my bonus. I also got a message that the Imperial Navy had now promoted me to "Outsider". Where the fuck do they get their ranking names from? I've been called better in the Maia red-light district by some distressed hobo in a shit stained jumper.

++++ I decided to make my way home and saw a few more data shipments so grabbed those on the way. Easy one jump job, but I guess the data was pretty imporant. I had 2 different assholes try to interdict me. Luckily i upgraded that jump drive so I got out of dodge quick. Mind you, this bitch wanted things brought to her in 9 minutes. I got her nagging in one ear, and some dude that wants her data trying to blow me out of the sky.

++++ With all this excitement I decided to make Badia my home for the night. Won't need any tea tonight. I'm exhausted.

++++ It amazes me the amount of money these nobles have. No wonder so many criminals are here... why wouldn't you try to rob these suckers. These bandits, pirates, and reavers are getting more and more brazen. I've racked up a good amount of bounty money but now these yuppies are complaining they don't have enough rare treats to indulge in. As if whiskey wasn't enough they want the rare high end stuff. Luckily I know where to get it and its not too far.

++++ I know Tanmark has the tranquil tea they want. Its only 117ly so it will push my ship to the limit but heck why not the payout will be huge. Ontop of the rediculous markup they're giving bonuses to the sum of millions to the top contributors to their indulgence. Did I mention how stupid i find yuppies? Well off to Tanmark.

+++++ Shit... I didn't realize another power took over Tanmark. Figures. Luckily i used to smuggle landmines to war torn systems. This should be easy. Run in hot. Silent running into the gate aaaaand I'm in. Find the dealer and load up my 4 tons and I'm on my way. Guy says he's got Onion heads too. I'm sure these druggies will love em too.

++++ Well I made it back. Quite the profit too. $100k and I'm in the top 50% for the leaderboard. Not a bad days work. Despite the risk I think I'll do a few more runs. Will be good, besides I can die trying to land or die trying to fight. I'll take my odds with the starport...

++++ Its been 2 years since I've started my journey and I've finally decided to open up this log and add my first entry. I've come along way since I started my expedition into space. Back then I had a small sidewinder loaned to me by the Federation. Back then I was young and nieve. I had dreams, real dreams, but now... well... Now I've seen some shit.

++++ Last month I received an encrypted transmission to visit a station outside the bubble. Upon arriving I was given more encrypted data. I spent many nights decrypting an analyzing data. Eventually a week later I discovered something and it has set my grey hairs into overdrive. On that planet... that icy planet there was... a ship. Not like an anaconda. No this seemed almost... organic. It definitely wasn't human. I'm scared to think what this means for the human race... I need to get armed.

++++ Upon seeing the alien craft I've switched careers. I used the funds that i got from trading goods in my sexy red ASP Explorer for a fully kitted out Viper MkIV. This is an awesome change from the ASP. I've also moved my base of operations to KAMADHENU: SHAJN MARKET. I decided to make the switch after pledging allegiance to Arissa Lavigny-Duval so I can focus on bounty hunting.

++++ Tonight, I started by reinforcing HR 571 for Arissa. I tapped into my routes and brought supples to the station there that they needed. While there i checked the latest mission board. It appears some swanky rich farts are having a game night in Aramzahd and they need people to help pull security. They're going to pay a shit ton of money on top of the regular system bounties. Hell, if I'm going to kill people for crimes... well I might as well get payed a shit ton of money to do it. And if these rich brats wanna pay, well who am I to say no. So I traveled there, and the place was littered with corrupt low-lifes. I made quick work of a few then teamed up with a few other commanders to continue the hunt. I've made a good chunk of change so far. I'm slated in the logs as one of the top 50% security guards. If i can keep this up I'll make one of the biggest scores of my career. Well time to rest this weary head. Been a long and stressful night.
